I also understand the protestors and have nothing against them. I was inarticulately ranting against the media who are pissing me off massively about the whole event [as is Jackboot Johnny]. I do not like the way they have acted or their obvious partiality - they are a continual reminder of what I find wrong with this country.

Sometimes I wanna march just because I can - it means much more than the act itself. Alas, working Saturday.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03417138778733226637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13587220.post-59782947817206630242007-09-04T17:42:00.000+10:002007-09-04T17:42:00.000+10:00Call me what you will, but I actually think the si...Call me what you will, but I actually think the situation is pretty good. The people meeting at APEC are, of course, grade A motherfuckers, but we still have a lot of input over what they get up to. Take climate change for example - they're trying to set up something equivalent to the Kyoto protocol, not because they actually want to but because people all over the world are taking the issue seriously now. We really do have influence, at least when we're together on something.

Not that I won't be marching on Saturday. Fuckin' down with the man, man.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
