It’s Monday and I have to work. Oh how I loathe my boss.

In the spirit of the above, the beer, and my ONE day off this week I present to you a random ten. It changes every time. This means that the concept does not get old.

Acrylic Afternoons – Pulp, His’N’Hers
I <3 Jarvis so this is fabulous.

Yellow Submarine – The Beatles, 1962-1966
I also <3 John and George; which may be why they’re dead.

From My Own True Love (Lost At Sea) – The Decemberists, Picaresque
Clearly a nautical theme. I think my ipod has a sense of humour.

To Love Somebody (Live at Woodstock) – Janis Joplin, The Essential Janis Joplin
A friend of mine recently went to a music shop and asked them to order in Woodstock on CD. She was asked who Woodstock was by. I think she went home and cried.

Memories Are Made Of This – The Saints, Know Your Product
Yes, yes they are. Really good anecdotes about bearded clams are too.

She’s A Lady – Pulp, His’N’Hers
Anything you want Jarve-baby.

Tough Guy – The Beastie Boys, Ill Communication
Is he? I’d believe anything they told me. No really.

Have You Ever Seen The Rain – Creedence Clearwater Revival, Keep On Chooglin’
Better than that, I’ve seen the monsoon.

The Greeting Song – Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magik
I also <3 Anthony Kiedis circa any film clip from Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

A Conjunction Of Drones Simulating The Way In Which Sufjan Stevens Has An Existential Crisis In The Great Godfrey Maze – Sufjan Stevens, Come On Feel The Illinoise!

May my week be mercifully short. May all sharp objects removed from my presence. May all managers, unless they are people I like, get the pox – virulently.

I wish you all a good week.

Man, music top tens are like weeds in the blog world (no offense). I want to see a top ten of something else, like kitchen utensils or body parts or breeds of cat. Anything.

*Negative hat off, positive hat on*
Are you feeling well today?

No freakin' hangover but I'm grumpy as a motherfucker [yeah, yeah] - must be the fun-free, bitchier than hell atmosfear of work. Oh joy and all delectable things!
You know, Mark. I was orignally going to write: In the spirit of the above, the beer, and my ONE day off this week I present to you a random ten. It changes every time. This means that the concept does not get old. THIS MEANS YOU MARK. But I decided against it...
I am rather fond of weeds...especially if they have pretty flowers :)

We need an inspirational song, Miss Q. Something that screams death to the fuckers and freedom to us!!!! [Yeah it is pretty revolting in here today - I have more on M's dummy spit, woohoo!]

Ummm... I'm taking off my Manager's hat right NOW - very slowly - okay?!

Just put the bedroom beasties 'gun' down and we can talk about it some - you know Manager - DOWN to Employee! ;)

Oh my... is that MY car on fire... sorry - apparently the workers ARE revolting :)

Nails - let me know what your next top ten is, but do compose yourself first.

ps my verification code = feelitvb You can get it liftin', you can get it shiftin', you can get it commenting on blogs...

Yes, our managers think the workers are revolting too. I think that's part of the problem.

I'm sure you're a nice manager, don't work here which is always a good sign :)

They bought chairs for the Bahamas, Rinns. Actual chairs. They have bolted them to the concrete. Damn, I was so looking forward to stealing one and carrying it home on the bus...

am I the only one who doesn't have and Ipod

nailpolishblues said...

Ah Rachy, do you really need an ipod?
I've got a 3hr public transport trek every day. I wouldn't bother otherwise.

I would truly hate to have to listen to music all the way to work. How do you *think*? How do you stop from gettin' on up and dancing?

Update btw?

Naggy little man, aren't you?

I like to avoid other people's strange conversations. I have more than enough of my own [I spend all day on the phone, after all]. And I really, really like to avoid the seppo students with their strident voices. Apparently it isn't a conversation unless they CAN HEAR YOU BACK HOME IN THE GOOD OLD U S OF A. DID YA HEAR ME, LET'S GO GET BEERS 'CAUSE WE'RE TOO YOUNG AT HOME AND IT'S BETTER TO VOMIT IN THE STREETS OF ANOTHER NATION.

ooops. itty bitty vent.

Oh and I may accidently sing to myself sometimes but so far no-one has pointed it out to me...
