You obviously haven't ever read any of the studies that show that mediocre people do not recognize their mediocrity, even when it is pointed out to them. This is so because the mediocre, the incompetent, have no concept of what it takes to be competent and superior - again, even when shown, even when it is explained to them.
So, we shall have no more of this "I'm mediocre" indulgence.
