It's two in the morning and I'm thinking about...

Is there a six degrees of separation for blogs? I'm curious.

I think so. In fact, I think it's probably a lot less than 2 degrees of separation- all you need is for a couple of the little people to be linked to on the big popular blogs, and you're literally only a couple of clicks away from any blog.

Well, it certainly seems that way a lot of the time.

Just did a google blog search for the very same question and found your blog. What's strange is that this is the very first time that I have ever posted to a blog. Hope I did it correctly.

Hmmmm.... everything seems to be in working order, Anon. Welcome to the blogosphere!

Lot off really obscure blogs out there, like marketing blogs that really only link to themselves, or kids who only link to Maddox. For them, it's all about degrees of separation from Maddox. Always with the Maddox!

Shorter answer - yes. Yes, there is!

Really, Tim? How do I make use of it? Also, what the f**k is Maddox?

Ano, you're doing fine so far. A name for yourself might be nice though. Far too many anonymouses commenting on blogs and, well, we're all friends here...

Amanda, it was a little blog to blog clicky journey that started me wondering. Sometimes it feels like there are about 200 blogs in Australia and you come across people who know people who know you far too often for comfort.

I think it's a bit like grains of sand, big bits go together, little bits shelter under the big bits and then there's this mob, incestuous but romantically so.
