Oh sweet heaven!

I've just realised that I've doubled booked a certain weekend in July. That is to say, I've made plans for the day that that new Harry Potter is released. Instead of being able to spend a good 48 hours holed up in my bedroom reading I shall have to force myself out into the cold night to see Othello. And then, quite probably, drink rather a lot.

I know, very lame.

I don't suppose anybody would like to send me a copy of Othello? I don't think I've read it and I suspect that it wouldn't be a bad thing if I knew the story a little better. A copy of Alice in Wonderland would be good too. No reason, but I gave mine away and would rather like to read it again.

Meh. The fangirls have ruined Harry Potter for me. Get out of the house and enjoy some non-commercial culture in a non-ironic way.

At this stage I just want to know how it ends and who dies. Guess who'll be reading the last chapter first?

I was never not going to Othello. Quite looking forward to it.

And LOL at you telling me to get out!

OR, you could complicate your weekend even further by winning a trip to London town.

That would be lovely, Alexis, but I'm quite sure that my boss would chain me to the desk or otherwise make it impossible for me to fly away free.

Yeah, mine too, which is why I'm trying to live out a trip to London through someone else.

I remain surprised that I am allowd home at nights. Although, since my rent is my main need to work I suppose it evens out.

Oh, but how I wish I could go! Or even temporarily forget my fury at the verdict in the Mulrunji Doomadgee case.

Good lord, how exciting to read that someone else as sad as I has marked that weekend in their diary too.

I have been telling my friends to steer clear since March...

Oh yes, Boo, my mission statement for life is 'to share my lameness with the world (and possibly infect it)'. I bow to your superior planning skills though, I can't believe I let this happen!
