Help.
I have a Tegan and Sara song stuck in my head. For reasons that I'm not even sure about I associate this particular musical act with lesbians. Consequently, I feel like any moment now my aunt is going to welcome the third lesbian of the family into the fold. If my sister fell we'd be four for four. Wouldn't my grandparents be proud? Meh, who'm I kidding, she likes cock enough to balance out the rest of us. My sister, that is, I'm really not that sure about my aunt.
The fact that T & S are sisters make this whole line of thought even more disturbing. I think I'll leave things as they are, though it is nice that my aunt occasionally prompts me with, 'we're very understanding about it...now...' Understand all you want, I'm with my sister on this one. Oh. Ew.

Too much information, yeah?
P.S. Mark, the offer to track you down etc etc still stands, don't make me.
You made everyone puke behind the couch.
Now they've taken to their sick beds.
That'll teach ya.
If you knew my sister you'd realise how disturbing it really is.
This probably is one of those posts that's best left alone to die a slow death.
Them's that know these things will tell you that T & S are lesbians indeed, though that doesn't make you a lesbian for listening to their musick, any more than your listening to, say, John Lennon, makes you a dead man with spectacles. No. 'Fraid you actually have to fancy ladies if you want to be a lesbian.
Gad. Sorry. That comes across all patronising-like.
Oh, and I just thought they were much loved by lesbians. I fee much enlightened now. Thanks, Alexis!
I thought fancying ladies might come into it somehow... Since I live in Lesbian Smorgasbord Land and haven't succumbed I think I might not, in fact, be one. My poor aunt. I disappoint her so!
I didn't think it was patronising.
I wonder how I can introduce them to my aunt. I think she'd be much heartened by the knowledge that sometimes, just sometimes, both your kids are queer [one in all senses].
You're a Newtowner, yes? Straight in the 'Town isn't exactly counter-cultural, but it's certainly not the default sexuality either. At various points in my misspent youth I tried passing off celibacy as the new queer. It didn't catch on, strangely.
Pretty much. I live in Enmore.
I now look away when I see straight people holding hands...it seems wrong somehow...okay, that was lie.
Celibacy may not be the new queer but it's awfully damn common. Especially the unchosen, unenforced sort.
If celibacy was going to be the new queer, it would have to be fun as well as embarrassing. It ain't.
Hey, I was going to write 5 interview questions but that was a couple of weeks ago. I would cease holding my breath if I were you. Sorry :(
Oh well, if you ever get 'round to it I'll consider answering them...
It's more funny than fun, isn't it?
Yes, funny. But it's 'laughing at, 'not 'laughing with.'
How about if we all laugh at each other at the same time? That's almost laughing with...
Poor Mark.
