Multiple choice.

Did I spend the afternoon:

1) madly cleaning my flat because I have yet another inspection tomorrow?

2) pissing about doing not much and going to the pub?

3) lying on the couch reading children’s books and eating curried egg sandwiches and napping?

4) earnestly writing terribly exciting new and upcoming blog posts?

5) with my tits out, dancing round the house with a feather duster?

Number 3, because I love curried egg sandwiches.

Can I phone a friend?

You may. May one ask which friend?

Um, there's... and then there's... not to mention... hmmm.

Well, there's always my mother, I suppose.

Actually, no. Not even her. She's off gallivanting around Portugal (damn!)

Looks like my little rhetorical ploy in the previous comment didn't turn out so well, did it?

Portugal? I am envious.

Also, I don't think your mother knows me - though clearly the handful of people who read my blog do.

It was #3, kiddies, but I did #s 1 & 5 as well last night - only with a static dustery thing and not a feathery one and not actually naked.

Yeah, tell me about it. She even left Dad behind.

Were you finishing off the Chronicles? I am an unashamed devotee of kids' books, partly because a lot of adults' literature is crap.

I started reading mid-week after the beaver madness and am skipping books, but yes.

My father loves getting away from my mother. Like when she comes here for two weeks and he only comes for one before running home again. Bastard. He is so buying me lots of alcohol. And sharpening all my knives!
