Sometimes...

...I think that my childhood really was incredibly deviant. It's not even like my parents were hippies or in a cult or lived any kind of alternative lifestyle.

I'll trade you. You can live in a caravan (that's what you call trailers, right?) and be super poor and I'll have the wacky parental units.

Very good, Dan! Wacky is a pretty good way of describing them. Well, slightly wacky - they're sweet kids but...ugh! sometimes they really make me wonder. No trailer, thank you, I've seen American tv.

Enny, it's no one thing or series of things it's more the gaps that I have in my knowledge that stem from their little forays into unconventionality and, I suppose, our parent/child dynamic - I'm one those annoying brats who was more adult at 13 than their parents ever managed to be. I've immatured since though so it's cool.
