And you thought you were feeling old.

Turns out that a six train, four bus day trip to Newcastle plays havoc with the sciatica. Turns out the hip is fine after all. Turns out that I need to remember to take some pain killers tonight. Turns out that my 'core' needs strengthening. Turns out that I just had a mental image of a giant apple corer. I never understood why my parents owned an apple corer when my dad was pretty good at chopping up apples with just a knife. Still, apple corers make cool toys.
Oh yeah, in the pink of health, the apple obsession seems to be helping. Stupid nerves. Who needs nerves anyway?
I had a very long conversation today about my chocolate obsession. It's really quite unhealthy. I must give it up again. I will strengthen my core and my resolve. I will do both of these at some other point. Right now I'm going to sit down and watch Billie Piper try to act. She has really crap tits - seriously.

*carefully examines Piper’s breasts*  What was the question, again?

I think I might be getting the very beginning of arthritis in my fingers. Now that makes a gal feel elderly.

Arthritis is no lolz! Chilling out is the answer. Swimming is great, especially outdoors (extra vitamin D). Reducing caffeine helps you feel less wired and improves blood-flow. A few years ago I found it was starting to get uncomfortable holding a stylus; now I’m fine. :-)

Merci. That's cheering. (Not much caffeine in my diet to reduce, though. If you're suggesting I give up - gasp - chocolate, I'd rather have crippled hands.)

Nails, I wish I hadn't read that now I feel guilty about the Berry flavoured Rocky Road I'm about to eat. I do feel okay about not offering you any.

jahteh, feel no guilt I don't much like Rocky Road anyway. I never quite understood marshmallows.

baron von, aren't you madly keen on the unusual musical instruments? Do they not keep the little fingers in good repair?

al cad, you are utterly obsessed with vitamin D. It is hilarious. Also, yay to being wired on caffeine - not as much fun as speed, possibly, but certainly cheaper and can be had hot in a mug. Yay again!

I forgive Billie most things for "Because We Want To"

Why you gotta play that song so loud, because we want to is youthful poetry

I think I should have paid more breastal attention to her rather than her first album...plus, when she went out with Richie from 5ive, she got death threats, so I give her a break...

This is what worries me. A bagpiper with stiff digits ain't no kinda bagpiper at all. But I may be overstating the stiffness, and by rights I should have decades to go before my hands are completely crippled.

Don’t worry, Alexis, all those flavonoids and things are doing you a world of good, so chocolate is in! The real enemy is stress, which screws around with the immune system. (I read something about arthritis drugs being bad news, so if lifestyle changes can deal with it that’s a great option.)

Well, Nails, at least it’s a healthy obsession (golden tans excepted). And if you enjoy a good caffeine hit, cutting down makes a lot of sense; then, when you do have a full-caffeine mug you really know about it...

Oh no! I have a golden tan! Well, I do whenever the evil sun catches hold of me. I also have a caffeine addiction. I loves it, it loves me, we are very, very happy together [which incidentally, is what the song Happy Together is all about - caffeine addiction that is, not me].

Alexis, sounds like an excellent reason to employ a charming little someone as your official hand massager.

Miles, quite fortunately I missed the musical stylings of Ms Billie Piper. You must tell me how she compares to that other most famous Billie-of-the-singingness Ms Holiday (who I am rather fond of). I'm sure Ms Holiday had better tits and less interest in displaying them to the world.
